We are proud to announce that The Coddenham Centre have won this year’s Active Community of the Year award.

At a celebration hosted by Active Suffolk which included Olympic and Commonwealth games medalists, the Centre received the award from sponsors, East Suffolk Council.

The Active Community Award celebrates a group of individuals from any local village, neighbourhood, community group, local faith group or residential area that have collaborated to ensure physical activity is an important part of what they do.

The winning community will have created and embedded opportunities for local people to be active, through physical activity they may have driven positive community spirit especially during the pandemic and they may have worked to change local culture, ensuring physical activity, movement and sport was a part of their daily routine.

We are delighted to have received this award on behalf of all our customers, suppliers, volunteers, sponsors, the community of Coddenham and beyond.

It follows on from our recent Community Hall of the Year Award at the Suffolk Community Awards.
