Following our 200% subscribed Nordic Walking Taster sponsored by Active Suffolk and Fit Villages, we are pleased to announce our continued collaboration with a generously sponsored Nordic Walking Training Programme at The Coddenham Centre.

• Nordic Walking is accessible to all ages and levels of fitness.
• Classes aren’t intended to be competitive, you join in to learn.
• Works the whole body.
• Burns 20-40% more calories than ordinary walking.
• Lessens impact on joints.
• Sociable & fun, can be done anywhere & adjusted to ability.

Led by an accredited trainer, Kevin Marshall is one of the most experienced exponents available.

The Programme consists of three 1 hour 20 minute lessons on the  24th February, 9th March & 6th April 11.30am, that will build your ability as a professionally trained Nordic walker, progressively enhancing your enjoyment, personal benefit and expertise. The final lesson will include a focus on your personal objectives, weight loss, upper body, specific strength, stamina or recovery for example.

Poles are provided and you’ll be guided on the different types and what might be best for you, were you to decide to buy your own in the future. *Trekking poles are not Nordic walking poles and are unsuitable.

Fit Villages are working with The Coddenham Centre to achieve a 50% discount on the normal course rate, as part of our respective health & wellbeing programmes.

The course fee is £25 for the total of four hours and because of the discount, is offered to just fifteen participants on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

Bookings are no longer being taken but we hope to develop a broader unsubsidised Nordic walking group based at the Centre in the future.
