To the small but hard working team that helped with last weekend’s outside Working Party.
The Centre’s ‘estate’ is particularly dependent on volunteer support. Apart from the tennis court’sand some help from the Parish and CAFC, it doesn’t generate any income, yet is used and enjoyed by many people of all ages, free of charges.
We know we can depend on a core of volunteers, ‘Friends of the Coddenham Centre’, but recognize they can’t always be available. We therefore need more!
Still outstanding after last Saturday are the following; UPDATED 3/10/24
- Remove tree pruning to the woodland where they can help create natural winter shelter. DONE
- Rake off our wildflower areas and create bare patches to receive churchyard silage and seeds. DONE – BUT MORE RAKING OFF OF WILDFLOWER AREAS PLEASE
- Tidy up stumps where we have raised the tree canopies.(chain saw). DONE
- Prepare islands in the car park for grass seeding and new trees. NOW URGENT
- Continue to strim around trees and new hedging.
If you can help, please call the Centre or drop in!
Thankyou and again to all those who help us regularly.
Andrew MacPherson
Chair.
