This Saturday we’re calling on anyone with a spade* to help replace our hedges and plant new trees on your Recreation and Sports Field.
Donated by Mid Suffolk District Council Biodiversity Team, we hope to plant 450 new and replacement hedging plus six trees, kindly sponsored by local residents Sue & Dave Wythe, John & Madge Pelling, David & Debbie McDonnell, Eleanor & Tony Margaritelli, Andrew & Jane MacPherson, Eric & Margo Hammond.
We are also celebrating one hundred years since the bequest by the DeSaumarez family of the field by planting a commemorative oak donated by Lord & Lady De Saumarez, at 11am.
Come and join us from 9am or just to mark the planting where we’ll have a group photograph to celebrate, followed by complimentary mulled wine, tea, coffee and juice. Details also on the Coddenham Parish community website.
*If you don’t have a spade, just come and help!
